The New ChatGPT Atlas: What You Need to Know

The new ChatGPT Atlas browser has been getting a lot of attention lately, and I wanted to dig in to see what all the buzz is about. In this episode of Run Your Private Practice with AI, I share what I’ve learned so far about this brand-new AI browser, how it’s different from the regular ChatGPT we’ve all been using, and why so many people in the AI space are talking about it.

If you’ve been curious about what ChatGPT Atlas actually is and how it might help therapists or private practice owners, this episode breaks it all down for you.

[00:00:00] Hey everybody. Hope you’re doing well. I love to just pop in and do these once a week. Tell you what I’m up to with ai. Last week I let you guys know about the Thera AI hub that I launched, which is super exciting. I think we’ve had about 50 therapists pop in there and I’m getting such great feedback about it.

[00:00:19] It’s a bunch of AI tools that I’ve built out for therapists to be able to use in their private practice. So if you haven’t seen it yet, I’m gonna put the link down here. You can go check it out. Okay? So also last week I posted a post that said I’m losing my mind over Perplexities comment AI browser.

[00:00:37] That was last week. I popped a link in. I said, y’all go try it out. A bunch of people tried it out. Disclaimer, it is not HIPAA compliant. So if you’re using an AI browser, it’s not HIPAA compliant. If you’re trying to use it for anything like you know, going to a place where client emails might be or opening up your EHR or something like that, you don’t wanna be using an AI browser for that at this point is my understanding.

[00:00:59] I was using it all last week and obsessed about it. Told everybody I knew about it. I’m gonna tell you some of the things I was doing with it. But then yesterday, ChatGPT just released their own AI powered browser. But you guys, if you know anything about me, you know, I’m obsessed with ChatGPT.

[00:01:17] That’s my go-to AI preferred over Claude or all of that, even perplexity. But they didn’t have an AI browser. They do now. It’s called Atlas. I cannot access it yet because I don’t have a Mac. I use a pc and you know, I think I read just a little while ago that you could do it on your phone, so I might go check it out on my phone to see if I can get it enabled.

[00:01:36] AI browsers, perplexities’ is really amazing so far. You basically download it it becomes your browser. The only pain is you basically have to go in and like, fill in all your passwords. I don’t know if you use like Chrome, a Chrome browser where everything’s already filled in. So you go to a website or your, remember your password and all that.

[00:01:55] You don’t have to worry about it. When you install these new browsers, you do have to go find all your passwords. So I had to do that. That was a real pain. I got perplexity all set up. And then yesterday ChatGPT makes this announcement. So apparently Atlas is gonna be rolling out to, pC user soon, so it should be here soon anyway.

[00:02:14] What can you do with an AI enhanced browser? I was like, I don’t even know if I need this. Yes, you need it in your life, trust me. So it’s essentially, and I watched a tutorial for the Atlas browser too. It opens a sidebar and basically your AI is just like working on the side. It’s kind of like Berries, you guys know I’m the clinical consultant for Berries.

[00:02:32] Berries has one too inside of Berries that’s HIPAA compliant chatGPT that is like just running alongside. You can communicate with it and it’s going to chat with you about anything happening. This is how these AI browsers are. So some of the things I did with Perplexity browser, and I can’t wait to use ChatGPT’s because it has your memories already in it.

[00:02:51] So if ChatGPT knows everything about you, it’s already gonna know. And then I read that it just like stores like basically cookies on all the websites you go to. So it develops a knowledge base. Like, oh, you went to that website, look that up. Now you’re on this website. Let’s apply that information over here.

[00:03:06] So it’s that smart. And then the agent mode inside of ChatGPT, I watched a tutorial on YouTube where they went and basically had the agent open on their browser. They pulled up a grocery list or something they wanted, they instantly just told it to go ahead and order from Instacart, which it did automatically using the agent.

[00:03:28] Which if you don’t know what an agent is, it’s basically like a bot that can do like a bunch of complex tasks in a row for you, like book a trip for you, that sort of thing. It’s doing it inside of your browser so you’re not having to like be inside ChatGPT and connect to the different websites.

[00:03:42] That’s how the agent was working before, but now it’s just like operating, like you are operating your browser. And same with perplexity. So perplexity last week I was just messing with it a ton. Some of the things I did, I had perplexity pull emails from my inbox. I had it look for a webinar replay that I missed.

[00:04:01] It was a CE course, so I had to go like, fine, I need that webinar. It was about CEs and went and found it for me. I had it look for any insurance updates that happened in the last week because I, also help therapists with insurance billing in their private practices. Medicare is a huge thing right now, Medicare and Telehealth, so I had to go search some of that stuff and give me a summary.

[00:04:20] Totally did that for me. I didn’t have to like scroll through emails or anything. It just did it while I was working on something else and I came back and looked and it was done for me. What else? YouTube channel analysis, so you can go to anyone’s YouTube channel, you can have it scan the YouTube channel for information that you might be looking for.

[00:04:38] You could have it summarize a YouTube video because now there’s transcripts in YouTube videos, so it could go look at all that and basically tell you what the video is about. So you don’t even have to watch the video. It just gives you like a couple of bullet points that are relevant to you, because even for Perplexities already kind of knowing who I am as a person. It’s blowing my mind all the things you can do. And I can’t wait to have access to Atlas. I’m sorry, perplexity. I’m probably gonna just switch over to the Atlas browser, I’m guessing. I actually paid for Perplexity Pro because I ran outta space. I was using it so much. So I paid for the Pro, which was like $20 a month I think.

[00:05:11] Use it as a, as a concierge. So you can have it like, go pull the latest news from the last week about any topic you want. It’s gonna summarize it, bring it back, it’s gonna go, do all that for you. And then you could have it, you could say, okay, now I want you’d put it in an email for me. Send me an email about this.

[00:05:25] It’ll send you an email. Then you could like send it back out to people if you wanted to. That’s a really easy way to use it. What else did I have to do? Oh, you could go into, this is. This is for people that have Facebook groups like me. You guys might know I’ve got like eight Facebook groups, and I’m always like trying to figure out what are people struggling with this week?

[00:05:42] Like what can I help people with? What would be a post that would be helpful? That sort of thing. So the browser is just on, so you could go to any Facebook group if you’re in these Facebook groups and just say, I want you to analyze like the top pain points that happened this week in this Facebook group and it’ll just do it for you, where before you had to kind of scroll and look and read or in my Facebook group, is there any posts I didn’t answer that I probably should have answered?

[00:06:06] It went and was like, yeah, you totally missed this one. I had it pull all of my links. I’ve got like a thousand affiliate links, right? Because I just, I like being affiliate. There’s lots of products I use. I had it pull my affiliate links and tell me which ones would be appropriate for the problems that were happening in my Facebook group, so I could just easily go and just pop an affiliate link in there.

[00:06:25] So these are just the beginnings. Partnership management. I do lots of partnerships. I was trying to figure out like, what was the last email I sent and I need to like, summarize that email and give a response.

[00:06:37] I typed it in, I was like, look for this partner email, blah, blah, blah. And it went, looked it, found it, it ran an email. It had it ready for me in this little sidebar. I didn’t even have to do it. I literally was doing something else came back to it like two hours later. You know how it is, right? You open a tab, it’s like, okay, I’m doing this.

[00:06:52] You open a tab, I’m doing this, and I forget to even come back. I came back, the task was done. So all kinds of stuff like that. And I probably haven’t even really scratch the surface. It can autofill forms for you. That was another thing I had to do. I kind of took notes here in the background. You know it, it knows your information, which is scary on one hand, but on the other hand, it’s super helpful.

[00:07:12] So these are just some of the things. This is perplexity AI browser. Check it out, but I probably would say if you’re using ChatGPT at all, go use Atlas instead. I hate to say that one last week, I was like, check out perplexity, go use this one. It’s incredible. Based on the tutorials I saw, I’m waiting for it to be released for a pc.

[00:07:30] So if you have a Mac, you can use it now and I’ll put the links down so you can find how to do it. But tell me what you do with it. You can use the agent in ChatGPT to do stuff. All over your computer now with this AI enhanced browser and really I am just scratching the surface. If I find more things, of course I’ll come in here and tell you guys about it, but go check it out.

[00:07:51] I wanna hear what you do, especially Mac users ’cause I can’t even use it yet. I’m so excited about it. But if you’re a PC user and you really wanna try an AI power browser, the perplexity browser is awesome. It is doing all kinds of stuff for me. It’s like sometimes I can’t even think what I can do with it, and then I’ll say like, how can you help me on this page just in the sidebar and it’ll tell me things and I’m like.

[00:08:11] Duh. I didn’t even think of that and it, and I say, okay, do that. It goes and does it for me. So anyway, that’s my exciting news for the week, really the Atlas browser is super exciting. I can’t wait to be able to use it and update you guys on how well the agent works. The agent hasn’t been great for me, but the tutorial that I saw on open AI’s YouTube channel.

[00:08:31] If you could go check that out, subscribe to that. It gives like lots of use cases for it. So I’m really excited about it. Alright, i’ll talk to you guys later. Bye.
