Real-Life Ways This AI Browser Makes Everything Easier
Sometimes it’s not the big things that take up your time; it’s all the small, everyday tasks that quietly add up. In this episode of Run Your Private Practice with AI, I share how I’ve been using AI in my own life to get things done faster and more efficiently, so I can focus more on my business and still have time for the things I enjoy.
I walk you through real examples of how Perplexity’s AI browser has been helping me handle tasks that would normally take 30 or 40 minutes and turn them into something that only takes a few minutes of direction. I share how I use this AI browser to navigate frustrating insurance websites, find doctors who actually take my insurance, and manage meal planning and grocery shopping, all while I step away and let the browser do the work.
AI Tips You Don’t Want to Miss:
- Using an AI browser to navigate frustrating insurance websites.
- Finding in-network doctors without manual searching.
- Cross-referencing providers with online ratings.
- Handling meal planning with strict dietary needs.
- Building grocery lists and filling Instacart automatically.

[00:00:00] Hey everybody. So occasionally I like to hop in and do this podcast just like on my life, like how I’m using AI instead of running my private practice and really doing so using it just to run my life gives me a lot more time to run my business and vice versa. So anyway. I talked about this last week, the perplexity comment browser.
[00:00:19] I’m obsessed with this thing. I used it today and I wanna tell you one, I wanna back up. I don’t think I’ve ever shared this story on this podcast, but. When I was a teenager, I used to get in trouble a lot. Like I was a bad kid.
[00:00:32] And a lot of it was because I didn’t accept rules very well, like rules didn’t really make sense to me, ’cause I was like, I don’t understand why you have to do it that way when you could do it this way. And it would make so much more sense. And I actually got in trouble for that when I was a kid a lot. And I even had to go to a psychiatrist, like the school, like told my mom to send me to a psychiatrist, which I know you guys probably are analyzing me right now, but I went and the psychiatrist told my mom that my problem was, there was nothing wrong with me, but my problem was I couldn’t accept no for an answer.
[00:01:04] That was very true. And then it got me in trouble. But now it’s like a personality trait, right? And it’s part of like what has me so obsessed with ai, it’s like. I know all these tools are out there and I also know that there’s a way to do it easier, better, faster, more efficiently, more creatively than like what the rule book tells us. So I’ve always been like that, literally from like day one.
[00:01:27] They used to tell me when I was a kid I was gonna be a lawyer. ’cause I would argue everything, even when I was little. I obviously didn’t turn into a lawyer, but. Anyway, all that being said, I was thinking about that today because I’m using the comment browser just in my life and I think you know, maybe people don’t think about it this way or outside of the box with it enough to realize all these different ways you can use it.
[00:01:47] And I didn’t either until I started playing around with it. So my message today is like think about a problem you’re having and if you know somebody or something on your computer could do it faster, easier, better for you than you can, for example. I wanna tell you guys something I did just today, actually just a little while ago.
[00:02:06] So I have this insurance. Right. And since I’m a digital nomad, medical appointments are like such a pain for me because like my insurance only covers certain providers. It’s not the best insurance, but it’s like a PPO, so I can use it in different states if I needed to. But right now I’m in Florida temporarily right now.
[00:02:23] So I’m like trying to get all these doctor’s appointments in and I’m in an area I’ve never been before. So I’m also trying to like get in with new providers. Anyway. Long story short, my insurance kind of sucks and there’s only a certain amount of providers that take it and their website is terrible. So you have to like, you could barely find the list of who you can see in a zip code without like really digging into the site.
[00:02:44] And I avoid it because it’s such a pain. But I was talking to my boyfriend this morning, I was like, oh my God, I got to go see that it’s a gastroenterologist ’cause I’ve got. A celiac disease and all this other stuff. I’ve got to go see one while we’re here still ’cause we’re gonna be here for three months.
[00:02:58] So anyway, I’m like, you know what, I’m gonna see if my perplexity browser can do it. So I told the Comet browser, I. Like logged into my insurance, just logged in and I was like, this website is so hard to navigate. Can you please go and find a list of all the gastroenterologists in this zip code and sort it for the ones you know, obviously that are on here and approved for my insurance and are in my zip code.
[00:03:22] And then I went and did something else and I came back and it had it found it in the website, it had the list of all of ’em. And then I just kind of typed in and I said I want you to like go out and search, cross-reference these doctors with the best ratings on the internet and come back to me and tell me the top three that I should call.
[00:03:39] And I wanna make sure that they are accepting new patients at this time. Went off, did something else, came back, and here’s my list of all these doctors that I can call basically. So I called the first one and they. have an opening and I can get in there and it’s the best, highly, most highly rated one in this area that does take my insurance.
[00:03:56] So all that information was correct, and that might sound super trivial, but that probably would’ve taken me just navigating the site, going through each one, cross-referencing, trying to, you know, Google the doctors and their ratings. Compare the two that would’ve probably taken me 30 or 40 minutes, I would say at least. It took about three minutes for me to direct the browser to go do that for me.
[00:04:18] So it’s little things like that, that it’s just saving so much time in my life that allows me to show up even more in my business or like with my boyfriend or doing things like going to yoga. I love going to yoga doing stuff like that. So, it’s exciting for me and that’s why I wanted to share that today, like the personal side of it.
[00:04:35] Now the other thing I did, I wanna tell you about. Uh, Meal planning. Does anybody else hate meal planning? Now ChatGPT’s been good for this, right? There’s that hack where you can like, take a picture of your refrigerator and upload it and say, tell me what I can make with these ingredients or, you know, inventory what I already have, compare it against my shopping list, that kind of thing.
[00:04:54] But something else about me, I am lifetime, like Weight Watchers member. my whole family’s overweight pretty much. I always have to watch what I eat. I’ve always been like that. I’ve always kind of leaned on the heavier side. Probably right now you might not think that, but it is true. Like I really struggle with that.
[00:05:11] So Weight Watchers, right? Weight Watchers has all these great recipes and everything, but it is time consuming. ’cause you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta be like, what do I like? And I’ve got all these dietary restrictions. So I asked the browser to do it. I said, okay, I want you, I logged into my Weight Watchers.
[00:05:25] I want you to get a Weight Watchers. I want you to find the six top recipes that people talk about in this points range that meet my dietary criteria. So celiac disease, gluten-free. Lactose-free, low fodmap, all these terrible things I have to do for my celiac disease. I want you to, to find those and come back and report to me like the top, I think it said five to 10 recipes.
[00:05:48] So it did that. Came back to me, said, here’s what I would recommend based on what you’re asking to tell me the points range, and all that stuff. So then I have these there. Now I say to the browser, okay, I want you to make a grocery list. And it made a grocery list. And I said, okay. Take out, you know. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. ‘Cause I already have that. I already have those ingredients, but I need the rest of ’em.
[00:06:08] It did that, it edited the list, did it for me, gave me the list back then I said, I want you to go to my Instacart. I want you to fill up my Instacart with everything on this list. Make sure it’s enough to feed two people.
[00:06:19] And look for the best price by bulk. Basically like smart shop. Like, I want you to smart shop. I want you to pick the best ingredients for the cheapest price and you know, the most economical, that sort of thing.
[00:06:30] So we did all that. And I know, I think I’ve talked about this before on here a little bit, but it did all that, it set up my cart and then I just went in there and it’s like all done for you. It’s like literally done for you. again, this might seem just so trivial, but it’s just a time saver.
[00:06:43] It’s stuff you don’t even have to think about. Like I don’t know about you, but, and I think I talked about this on here before, like the Walmart app, like having you do it for the Walmart app, but just like having to like type in what you’re looking for and then see, wait for the listing to come up and then having to go and find which one’s the right one, and then put add to cart and it goes and adds it to your cart.
[00:07:02] That part is time consuming, even though it saves time to not have to go to the grocery store, if that makes sense. So I’m trying to make these things that are already kind of efficient, even more efficient, so I have more time to do other things that I want to do in my life.
[00:07:14] Now you guys know I’m like insane with this stuff, with this AI stuff, right? So I’m like, okay, I wonder if I can automate this so I don’t have to do it at all. Like how could I do that? So I was chatting with ChatGPT about it to see like, is there a way to build this out where I don’t have to do the automation?
[00:07:31] So I kept getting a lot of like nos, but then I was like, what if I went to Manus, and you guys have heard me talk about Manus. If I went to Manus and had Manus build out an app that could automate it if I, put it like on a timer, or I might have to set it off myself and just have it go, like execute the commands basically.
[00:07:50] And, you know, I don’t know if it’s gonna happen, but I, got ChatGPT like through our conversation to admit that Manus probably could turn this into an automated app that I could use for the grocery shopping, part of it, where it could go to a Reddit forum, a Weight Watchers Reddit forum, scan it for new recipes, that kind of thing, based on my dietary criteria. Pull the recipes out.
[00:08:13] You know, either use Zapier or some other connector or something to then make a list. Have the list maybe, I think said on like a spreadsheet, zap it to a spreadsheet, have it make a list, once there’s a new entry on the spreadsheet, it then uploads to, well, it hit Zapier again, and then Zapier basically would hit like Manus and get Manus the app, the app in Manus with an API key to basically integrate with Instacart and do the whole process without me, like on a regular schedule. So that’s how big of a dork I am.
[00:08:44] But I’m excited to see if I can get it to work. I think I can. I just, part of that whole process is trying to like get the right prompt. So when you take it over to the app builders, there’s other app builders, right? There’s like lovable, Replit, greta, Manus is the one, you know, I’ve been using the most. And I see new ones every day. So there are all kinds of things like this, but in my mind I’m like, okay, if I can have the browser do this, can I then turn it into something that’s even more amazing and sophisticated, like an automated app that I could do?
[00:09:17] And you can even with I might do this with Manus, see if I can do it. You could turn it into like a browser plugin. you know how like, how you have browser plugins that you can just kind of click at the top and it’ll drop down and like take action for you. So, you know, I’m wondering if I can turn the app into a browser plugin and then, you guys know me, I’m like, how can I scale this and make money with it?
[00:09:37] You know, if I perfect it and get it right, that might be a very useful tool for not only Weight Watchers, but just anybody that wants to connect to a Reddit feed that they love for recipes. Maybe they’re low carb or something like that. Go out, connect to the Reddit feed, come back, put it into your Instacart, basically without you having to do the process.
[00:09:54] Like, I’m always trying to figure out how to, like, have an agent do it in the background so I’m not having to be involved much. And of course I still wanna be involved in the checkout cart because, you know, occasionally there’s still like crazy things in there. It’s like, why would you put, this in there?
[00:10:10] That doesn’t make any sense. It wasn’t even on the list, like why is this on my cart? So you do have to still double check this stuff, but just think of the time saving. If you had like a hundred of these little apps that were automated agents, I guess we’d call ’em agents. Basically 2026 is supposed to be the year of agents.
[00:10:24] If we had that, like What all could we do with it? Like what would you do with it if you’re listening to this and you’ve like already got an idea? Like, Hey, I’ve been using comment the comment’s doing this for me. And maybe I could turn that into some sort of automation. Like what would you do with it?
[00:10:38] I would love to hear your ideas. And I’ll report back. Obviously I’ve gotta find the time to build the thing, which is what I wish I could just do all day as build these things. But of course I’ve got like a business to run and a life to live and all that. But anyway, that’s my week with AI and the things that have really just blown my mind in the last week pretty much.
[00:10:58] Other news that you should know about is the Chrome browser just released basically the same thing perplexity he’s got with the comment browser. They’ve released a browser agent that can do a lot of stuff for you inside of the Chrome browser. ’cause right now for perplexity, you have to have the perplexity browser, right?
[00:11:16] But most of us, I don’t know, I think a lot of people just use Chrome generally. So they’ve got that now. So you can use the Chrome browser instead. I don’t have it. I’ve looked, it’s not released yet. On mine, it’s still, I’ve still got the little like icon on the top that just says Gemini and you click and it’s like a little box that hangs down, but apparently it’s become genic now and they just released it and it just basically opens up on a side screen like the comment browser does.
[00:11:40] And you can give a commands and talk to it, just like I’m talking about right now with the perplexity comment browser. You could do it with this as far as I know, I haven’t tried it yet. That just came out like two days ago so.
[00:11:51] The other thing I wanted to tell you about the perplexity browser, I upgraded to the $40 a month version, which is called Enterprise Pro. And it’s HIPAA compliant. It’s SOC two certified. So before, previously I’ve been like, if you’re using perplexity, make sure that you’re not like accessing any PHI.
[00:12:10] According to this, and it says it across the bottom of my browser now, it’s HIPAA compliant and SOC 2. So that kind of blows my mind ’cause it opens up a whole new world, right? Like you could manage your client emails. I mean you could do a lot of stuff with that browser if it’s HIPAA compliant and SOC 2, which it says it is, you know, and of course you wanna do your security checks and I need to do that too.
[00:12:32] But I just noticed this the other day and it kind of blew my mind ’cause I was like, wait, so everything is like protected, any information accessing is protected, it’s $40 a month and the AI can like basically run my life for me on this browser. Everything I do on my computer, it can almost do for me.
[00:12:48] So That’s this week and run your private practice with ai. I’d love to hear from you. Let me know what you think. Try some of this. Tell me your creative ideas. ’cause I wanna know too, so I can do it. I, I can’t think of everything. you know, just any, problem that comes up. I’m like, I wonder if I can get this stupid browser to do it.
[00:13:05] That’s the question I ask. It’s not stupid smart. I wanna even get the smart browser to do it for me. So that’s it. I hope you have a great week. Take care. Bye-bye
