[00:00:00] Hey everybody. I wanted to talk about was the new agent inside of ChatGPT. So as of yesterday, I was just gonna talk about it ’cause I hadn’t gotten it yet. It hadn’t been released to me yet. Today I logged in and I have it. So I thought I would do this as a Zoom broadcast and share my screen with you all to show you.
[00:00:21] I’ve been playing with it a little bit. I’m not super impressed with it, honestly, but um, were asking about it. Somebody was asking about it in the group yesterday. So I want to share my screen.
[00:00:31] Somebody was asking yesterday just what even is the agent inside of ChatGPT. So to make it like super simple agents are the wave of the future, right? I’m already hearing about all these corporations that have been laying off people because they’ve got these sophisticated agents that are coming in and doing some of the jobs that actual people were doing, like data entry.
[00:00:53] answering phone calls, like receptionist type stuff, admin stuff. More sophisticated task. Even like, creating spreadsheets, coding things. There are agents doing this stuff now. ChatGPT is not that sophisticated yet. I’m sure it’s gonna be soon. But it’s, I mean, it’s, the future agents, unfortunately, are gonna take over a lot of jobs because they could be programmed to do multiple tasks in a row, and they can run in the background without you intervening essentially with it. I actually put together some ideas of things you could tell it to do.
[00:01:26] First, I just wanna show you if, if you have it, if I think it’s rolling out today to a lot of people, when you go in into ChatGPT, the $20 version and you come to Tools right here, you’re gonna see agent mode new. Agent mode says I have 32 left. I had 40 when I first logged in this morning. So I’ve played with it just a little bit, and then it looks like it renews on August 23rd, so it’s gonna renew in a month.
[00:01:48] Things you can do with it. You go into agent mode, you click agent mode, and then as you can see, there’s connectors down here. So you can connect things under your like account in ChatGPT, like Canva, Google email, Google Calendar, outlook, outlook email.
[00:02:06] Dropbox, if you’re using Dropbox, and then there’s others. So I’ll show you these. GitHub, HubSpot, linear, I don’t know what that, that is. SharePoint teams. So Microsoft Teams, if you’re using that in your business or in your private practice. I’ve connected Canva, my Google Drive, which is my entire brain.
[00:02:24] I don’t know if the rest of you guys use your Google Drive for literally everything I do, so it can now access everything I’ve ever done inside of my Google Drive, my Outlook calendar, my Outlook email. So all of that. And then it gives you suggestions of things you can do. These are things I would probably never do.
[00:02:40] They don’t, I don’t even know what half of ’em are. But you can click on these and have the agent do these things. You can have it do reports for you, like detailed, deep research reports, actions that you can have it do. So this is where. I’ve heard a lot of people using it for use cases, like somebody in our Facebook group was paying for the $200 version and has, has had access to the agent over there.
[00:03:04] Had it ordering her lunch, like through DoorDash and you could set a schedule. You could say, every Tuesday at 1130, I want you to go in and order me DoorDash from this restaurant that I love. This is the order I already get. And you essentially log in through chatGPT just did it. I just logged into my Canva through the ChatGPT screen and had it go through and connect and it now has access to that account.
[00:03:30] And of course I’ve already got a credit card stored on my computer if you feel comfortable doing that. I haven’t ordered anything yet with the agent. I’ve just been playing with some other ways, like more private practice type things. You could have it research trips. Book a dog friendly camp with a hot tub near San Francisco.
[00:03:47] It’ll go out to Expedia. It’ll look for the best deals. It’ll come back and say, I found these deals, and you can give it enough instructions that it will just book it if you tell it to. I want you to find the best deal within this price range during these dates. You know, flying out of so and so and it’ll go and do all these tasks for you and access the websites for you.
[00:04:07] So literally this thing could be working and researching in the background for you based on just a pretty easy prompt and go through and do the booking process for you. I’ve not tried it yet, but I’ve seen people talking about it, that they’ve done it. Order pizza delivery for 10 people and Uber Eats all kinds of stuff.
[00:04:24] Spreadsheets, make a reading list of the latest top financial time stories, right? I don’t know what use cases we would need ’em for in private practice, but I could think of a million different ways we could just use this personally for different spreadsheets that you might wanna create, especially if it can go out and re research on the internet and also your Google Drive and maybe your Outlook calendar, that sort of thing.
[00:04:45] I did do a task earlier where I told it to, let’s see, ChatGPT. I’ve done a million things since I was playing with this earlier, but let’s see. Google Calendar, edit. It wasn’t Google Calendar actually. ’cause I use Outlook mostly for my business. It took eight minutes for it to run this for me.
[00:05:02] And I basically told it to go to my calendar, find the last six months of appointments that I’ve had on my Outlook calendar, analyze it and give me a summary. And it came back and it told me like how many therapy sessions I’d had in the last six months, which was 19 hours. ’cause I don’t see a lot of clients anymore.
[00:05:19] Meetings with my business manager. I’ve spent 25 hours meeting with her podcast interviews, eight hours. I, I know that’s not accurate. So it really depends probably how. Um, you’ve got it labeled on your calendar but it did it, it did all this consultations. I know that’s not right ’cause I do a million consults a week with people about ai.
[00:05:37] But anyway, just interesting and it was only for six months. You could, and what you can do with this is you can set tasks. So if you see down here, there’s a schedule, you can set this and you could basically tell it to do it every single week if you want to. And it’s gonna do it in the background without you intervening at all.
[00:05:53] So you could pick like daily at 2:00 PM I want you to go back and look at my calendar and analyze. You know how I spent my time today, or go back and look at my calendar and see if there’s anything I forgot to follow up on in my email. So take a look at your calendar, your Outlook email, if you’ve got it all connected, or your Gmail, that sort of thing.
[00:06:12] And it will analyze all that stuff for you. And you could tell it to do it once a week, once a month, you know, for a summary where reports, things to keep you on track. There’s so many ways to use this. It’s just kind of like blowing my mind, just thinking about everything we could do with this stuff. So I just did this as an example to see.
[00:06:30] What would happen? Let me see. Cancel this. So I’m gonna, I’m just gonna cancel that, but, but basically you can schedule this stuff to happen on a recurring basis and it’ll do it without you intervening. Supposedly. I haven’t tried it yet. What else can we do? I was hired by this. Uh, Nonprofit to teach their staff how to use AI and make their business run more efficiently, like over a six week like training package.
[00:06:52] Super excited about it. I have a presentation, my first presentation to them coming up on Monday, and it’s a two hour thing. And I’ve, I, you know, of course I know what I’m gonna talk about and I’ve had ChatGPT help me write out what each slide should be, but I hadn’t created the slideshow yet. The PowerPoint. sorry. let’s see. So another thing this agent can do is create presentations. If you go to agent mode and you go to presentations right here. And then I basically just dropped all of the presentation points in here. So I basically told it, it took, it took an hour to create this presentation, which I wasn’t too impressed with that timeframe, but if you think about it, it’s like you might’ve spent an hour doing that. So this thing worked in the background. I was in meetings when this was happening. I was doing all kinds of other stuff.
[00:07:39] So, as you can see, it created this, PowerPoint. Presentation basically that I can now download. It looks like I can go in and I can download it right here. I can make it bigger and watch it. I can go in and edit it. It says, is there anything you’d like tweaked? So I’m sure I can interact with it and tell it to change things for me.
[00:07:57] Just like if we were in that canvas that they offer inside of ChatGPT where you can interact and change it in real time. so all kinds of stuff like that. I didn’t love this presentation. I actually took it over to Manus and had to do it over there too. It’s much better in Manus, I have to say. So I wasn’t that impressed with this one quite yet.
[00:08:14] So, let me know what you think about that. If you have questions. Uh, Some other things that I was thinking that we could use this for, let’s see are right now. ’cause there’s not a lot of connectors, but I feel like. Probably soon. It’s almost gonna be as robust as Zapier. If you guys use Zapier at all, you can literally connect anything together and have it like run a system or an automation to work.
[00:08:38] But these are gonna run on their own. You know where Zapier does too, but I don’t know. I think this is gonna be more sophisticated down the road than Zapier is, but who knows? There’s only like 10 ways you can connect these things right now, but it might be. Way different in the future.
[00:08:52] One thing I did in Zapier and I’ve got going on right now is every time I get an email that comes in, one that looks important or one that I need to respond to, I flag it. Zapier realizes I flagged it, and then it goes over and connects to OpenAI that reads the email that I flagged.
[00:09:10] It answers it for me based on a prompt that I put inside of Zapier. It does this really amazing answer, and then it puts it in my draft box inside of my Outlook email so that I can go back when I get a chance. Look at the draft it wrote up, which is usually really right on. It’s pretty close. I might have to change a couple things and then hit send and it’s done.
[00:09:30] So I’m no longer having to respond to emails. I’m doing that in Zapier. So I was thinking with this ChatGPT agent and I, I will share this workflow with you all. Let me share the screen again. This is the workflow. I talked to ChatGPT about it. You could, anybody could do this. Like gimme some ideas of how to use this agent in my business. So create a new agent, just how I showed you how to do that. And clear name, like email, triage assistant or whatever. I didn’t see where you could name it, so I’m not sure if you really can.
[00:09:57] And then turn on the Outlook connector and the configure tab of the agent, the email outlook, email, and then. Use instructions like this inside of the agent. Check my ro most recent unread emails from Outlook. Look for messages that appear to need a reply, like questions follow ups or coordination.
[00:10:16] Draft a clear a friendly response in my tone. Save the response as a draft. do not send it. Summarize what you did and which emails you created these drafts for. So it’s gonna go out. If I’m gonna test this later, I’m not gonna test it right now ’cause it takes it a while to think and that sort of thing.
[00:10:33] I’m gonna go out and then I’m going to schedule this for every single day around three or 4:00 PM and then come back in and be able to check and see if it’s done This for me. And then it says, you can even say, only respond to emails that are not from mailing lists or spam, right? Because we don’t wanna like generate drafts for junk mail.
[00:10:50] There are people sending junk mail, that sort of thing. Use a friendly and professional tone. If you’re unsure, skip the email and summarize why you skipped it. Then, uh, once the agent is, built, you open a new chat and say, please check my unread emails from the last 24 hours. Find the ones that need replies and draft responses in my Outlook account.
[00:11:08] Or, I think you can schedule it, but I haven’t done it yet. can also send things like draft responses for any client inquiry emails that are asking about scheduling, onboarding, or payment client. In my case, is coaching clients, not our Therapy clients because ChatGPT we know is not HIPAA compliant.
[00:11:23] So you can’t use this for clients, but you could use it for other business use cases. You know, people you have to respond to in your business, that sort of thing. And you can even train like your VAs to do this stuff, to go check the drafts, make sure they sound like you, let you know they have any questions, your admin staff, stuff like that.
[00:11:40] And then come back and, and let you know if they need your help. But if not, if they know you pretty well, they could just go do it. And you don’t even have to worry about any of this, which is pretty cool to me. Another tip it says is you can manually mark certain emails as important and tell the agent or just look at the flagged emails and draft responses to those.
[00:11:58] And if you’re batching replies, once a day or a week, create a system where your VA or your online business manager can go tend to the ones that were flagged or put in the draft. box. So that’s another way to do this. I’m gonna test it and see if it works. The Zapier flow is working for me, but I’m gonna see if this one works too.
[00:12:15] So the rest of you guys can use this, especially in the clinical AI club. I think if it does work, I’m gonna just hold a special session with you guys and we can go through and set this up together if you have Gmail or Outlook. ’cause I don’t see where there’s any other email providers that just letting you use right now.
[00:12:29] Okay, so pretty cool. We have agents. It’s kind of scary and kind of cool at the same time. I’m gonna keep playing with it. Of course. I’ll let you guys know if I come up with anything new. But this for right now, is, is it? It’s here. You guys might have a too, if you’ve got the $20 version of ChatGPT and you can go and apply with it.
[00:12:46] It gives you 40 uses a month. And I don’t know if I set those scheduling task, I guess it’s gonna use up those uses too. So just be aware of that also. Okay. I hope you found that help helpful. Let me stop my share here.
[00:13:01] Jessica says, could I build a website with this? Let me, me look, Jessica. Okay. let’s go back and look together.
[00:13:06] All right, I’m gonna come back up to ChatGPT. One tool you can use, Jessica is manus.ai. I built an entire like website page.
[00:13:15] I can show it to you in a second. Using Manus. It wrote the code and everything and I just took the code and put it over into my WordPress site, and it’s a perfect webpage. I can show you that, but let me see. I’m gonna go back to agent mode right here and let’s see. You know what you can ask it.
[00:13:31] Can you create a web site for me with the agent? I’m just going to ask it, which is oftentimes the best way to figure out what ChatGPT can do. Let’s see. It says a setting up is desktop. I call it a he. I don’t know. Do you call yours a he? This might take a minute. I can come back and show you some screenshots of what comes up.
[00:13:53] While I’m waiting, Jessica, I will show you Manus Manus is what I use to build out a page on my website. ’cause I wanted to offer a new intensive to therapist and I had this great idea. I was like, oh, I wanna offer this so bad, but gosh, and I’ve gotta like do a website and it’s just gonna take so much work and all this stuff.
[00:14:10] So. I use Manus. As you can see, I use it over here a lot. It does some really sophisticated things for me. And then this is the website page that it created for me. This ai, powered private practice intensive that I created to help therapists learn how to put AI into every aspect of their world and their business to make their lives run easier.
[00:14:31] I was like, I have to do this. ’cause I was, people are asking me other questions all the time and I’m like, I just wanna help people do this like intensively. So anyway. This is the website Manus created for me. It gave me all the code for it. It did the colors it to match my website. It did these little like, you know, check marks and everything.
[00:14:50] It made these like buttons, these kind of like raise up, like it did all this with the code, the design, it, pick the emojis, all of that. Transformation. We walk away with all, all of this apply for the intensive. I also had it make a application for this website. It did all of that for me. I told it I had some testimonials.
[00:15:10] I uploaded some pictures. It added that in the code for me. I asked it to do like an FAQ type box. It literally rewrote the code a couple of times for me every time I added some more stuff and it told me how to go to my WordPress site and upload the code ’cause I had no idea how to do that either.
[00:15:25] You could totally use Manus for that, and it gives you like 3000 free credits, I think a month without even having to have a paid version. Okay, so I’m gonna come back over here and just see, Generating abstract images for therapy.
[00:15:39] It didn’t even ask me what type of website, so probably if I were you in trying to do this, I would have ChatGPT help me create, like, I want what I want the copy to say on my website, the colors I want to be and all that stuff. And then I would pro put that prompt in here and give it to this agent to design the website for you.
[00:15:57] That’s probably what I would do. And then you can au automate that stuff. You can say, okay, I want you to create a Google Doc with all this information and it’ll connect to the Google and it’ll do all that for you. So it, it’s, it’s pretty cool. Okay. I don’t know, it just gave me this, oh, now it’s doing the CSS and the HTML, which is the same thing Manus did for me, but it has no direction right now.
[00:16:19] It doesn’t know, like, what do I want the website to be about? What do I want it to say? That sort of thing. So it’s doing something. Pretty generic here, I guess. And it might take a while. Like I did, like I said, I did a presentation with it earlier today, and it took an hour for it to run. Manus is a little bit quicker.
[00:16:34] I did the same presentation with Manus. I could show you guys. Manus did much better than ChatGPTs agent did for the PowerPoint. I can show it to you. Let’s see.
[00:16:45] it does. Oh. Just trying to open it over here could show you that, that presentation and how it looks. If I could get it to open, oh, maybe it’s ’cause of the way I’m sharing my screen. I already opened it earlier and it was amazing.
[00:16:57] Uh, Why would it, let me see. Anyway, it showed, I wa I downloaded the presentation on my phone earlier, so it looked really good, but I don’t know why it’s not coming up.
[00:17:06] Anyway. Now it’s proving me wrong, but it’s, it turned out really great. I don’t know why I can’t pull it up. I’m gonna have to come play with this later and figure out why I can’t pull it up. But anyway, so let’s go back to ChatGPT. It says, I put together simple multi-section website that introduces your story and highlights your programs.
[00:17:22] Okay? Actually, this is already connected to my Google Drive. It knows everything about me, so I’ll be curious to see. , Let me pull this up if it actually works.
[00:17:33] File type won’t work. Yeah, the file type won’t work. So, um, somebody that I follow a lot, Jonathan Mast, I saw him reviewing his agent. Um, On the $200 tier of ChatGPT, bt and he said he wasn’t that impressed yet. He could see the potential and he knew it was gonna be totally amazing. I think he said like, five out of the eight tasks or something like that, that he tried to do failed. So that tells you anything, you know, it’s not amazing yet.
[00:18:00] Uh, Let me see. Yeah, it’s like a really basic webpage. I don’t know if you can see it. You probably can’t see it, can you, anyway, I’m gonna play with that too. So the answer is yes, it probably can, but I would probably use Manus at this point to do it, ’cause it does such a great website for me. But in the future, I don’t know. I mean, obviously it’s just launched today You can do definitely a couple things.
[00:18:19] It definitely went to my email and looked at everything and my calendar and gave me a summary and all that stuff. So the best is yet to come, I guess, and open AI on YouTube. If you go over there, they put new videos out constantly about different ways you can use these tools. So that’s where I go.
[00:18:34] Sometimes I’ll go to open AI on YouTube and I just saw that they released one today. I haven’t even gotten a chance to watch it yet. So anyway, that’s my overview basically, of how to use the new agent inside of ChatGPT. It’s brand new, it’s not great, but I just wanted to give you guys a little idea of what it is and how it works and that sort of thing.
[00:18:53] And if you’re using it for something, I wanna know. I just wanna hear about your automations. I definitely think that email automation where you can have it flag things and put it into drafts for you is gonna be super helpful and useful. So, let me know if you watch this, if you’ve already played with it.
[00:19:08] If you’ve already got a cool workflow, put it in the, comments down here so we can all know how to use it too. Okay. Thanks everybody. I will talk to you later.
