105. Creating a Social Media Comment Agent to Help With Boosting the Algorithm

Creating a Social Media Comment Agent to Help With Boosting the Algorithm

If you have ever wished you could hand off the daily grind of engaging on Instagram, a social media comment agent might be the thing you didn’t know you were missing. Keeping up with social media is exhausting, and the part nobody really talks about is how much time it takes to thoughtfully engage with other people’s content so the algorithm actually pays attention to you.

In this episode of Run Your Private Practice with AI, I walk you through how I built a social media comment agent to do that engagement for me, in my own voice, a few times a day. I share why I went down this rabbit hole, the research that shaped the whole strategy, and the one roadblock that still has me posting a few things by hand.

AI Tips You Don’t Want to Miss:

  • How I used Manus to research the current gold standard for engaging on Instagram and shaped it around what therapists are actually posting.
  • Why building a portable skill lets you carry the same workflow between Claude, Manus, and whatever AI you love.
  • How Claude and the vidIQ plugin pulled together a target list of accounts worth engaging with.
  • The workaround I use when Instagram blocks Claude CoWork from posting directly.
  • Why engaging on other people’s content does more for your growth than just posting your own.

[00:00:00] Hey everybody, welcome back to another episode of Run Your Private Practice with AI So the last couple of weeks I’ve been geeking out about Canva and Claude integrations, mainly because I know for myself how hard it is to keep up with social media, to do social media, to come up with ideas on what to do on social media.

[00:00:21] Now there’s like, you know, a few people out there that just, it just comes naturally. They see a trending reel or something, it’s like, “Oh, I’m gonna duplicate that,” and they do great with it. Me, for some reason, my brain just does not work like that. I don’t know why. I wish it did, because I hired…

[00:00:37] eventually, I’ve hired a social media team for the Traveling Therapist Instagram that I run, or they’re essentially running it now, because it’s just… it was exhausting for me, and I’m always trying to figure out, how can I make this easier? There’s got to be a system. You know, with all of my AI knowledge, I’m always like, ” There’s got to be an easier way to do this.”

[00:00:56] I just, you know, can’t quite figure it out. Like, I can’t get it figured out. So anyway, I hired a team to help me. They’re great. Totally great. However, I hate spending the money on it, right? It’s like a monthly expense that I really don’t want to spend. It’s a necessary evil, I guess, you know, with basically running this business how I’m running it, having all these different income streams, all these different things I’m trying to do.

[00:01:18] I can’t do it by myself, so I have to have people help me. Anyway, all that being said, the Thera AI Hub and the Clinical AI Club almost every week, one of the members reaches out and says, “What is the workflow to make this easier? Because I hate it.” So I’ve kind of really, really gone down this rabbit hole of like, I’m going to test everything I can with AI to figure out the best ways to do this stuff.

[00:01:41] So probably in the coming weeks, you’re going to hear me talking more about just the different tools that I’ve been trying, because I am currently creating modules for the July content inside of the Clinical AI Club and the Thera AI Hub. So if you don’t know, the Thera AI Hub is a collection of built out tools that I build for therapists that are trying to, you know, run their practices with AI essentially, meaning anything that AI can help with in their personal life, their business, anything essentially.

[00:02:13] And I’m building out those tools. So it started as a GPT hub, which is like a custom tool inside of ChatGPT because I was really on board with ChatGPT for a long time, and it was easy to make those and deliver them and be really creative with them. However, since then, and you guys may have heard me talk about this before, skills came out.

[00:02:31] Skills are essentially little mini GPTs that you create, but they’re portable GPTs, so you can take them to any AI that you’re working on or that you love. So Claude, you can take a skill over there. You can download it from Claude. You can take it to Perplexity. You could download it from there, you could take it to Manus.

[00:02:49] You can move these things around and have the same workflow in any AI. So it’s, really become cool to be able to create those. So that’s what I’m creating for the TheraAI Hub. I’m creating many skills or tools that the members can use to help replicate some of what I’m gonna be talking about today, and then, you know, over the coming weeks.

[00:03:08] Because I’m working on the content, I’m like all in on it, and I know it’s gonna help you guys too, the social media part of it. And then the Clinical AI Club, the module I’m working on over there is like, I’m just showing my exact process without the skills. Because the Clinical AI Club members are more creative.

[00:03:25] They’re more… Not creative, but they’re more like they like to build their own tools, essentially. They like to build out what I’m talking about instead of having me build it out for them. Because the tools I’m building are pretty awesome and amazing in my opinion, but also they’re like how I would do it, how I think it should be done, how I’ve researched it and think it should be.

[00:03:46] Clinical AI Club is more like the ideas of how you can do this too, but I want you to make it like yours, your thing. I want you to design it how you would design it for yourself. So anyway, that’s the difference in the two. So what I’m working on right now are skills, and then the content. And like I said, over the next couple weeks, I’m gonna talk about all the different content probably, because there’s so much.

[00:04:08] I go down this rabbit hole. It’s my job to be up to date, I think, with different AI tools that can help with different things, so I’m like… I’ve subscribed to a lot of things.

[00:04:17] so right now the tools I’m playing with and using with Claude to create social media is vidIQ for Claude, which is incredibly amazing. My Google Drive, I’ve been creating like a reels bank, like a B-roll bank. B-roll is like when you just film yourself doing things and put really catchy hooks over them.

[00:04:38] Higgs Field, which is crazy amazing. Open Art, Blotato And then HeyGen, and then Descript. So I’ve got all these tools I’m already paying for. Claude is connecting with all of them in different ways. If you’re in the club, in the hub, I’ve basically created a uh, cheat sheet for each of these and how to connect them to Claude the right way ’cause some connect through, like, an MCP connection, which is basically you get, like, a URL from the website, and it gives Claude permission to go in and interact with the website.

[00:05:09] Some of them have to open the Claude browser, which I go… I’m gonna go in depth with the members. But it’s essentially, you could have Claude do something, but sometimes Claude Cowork can’t go out onto the website ’cause it’s blocked, but the Claude extension is already on your browser. So you just take what, what you did with the Claude down in your desktop, put it over in the extension, pop it in, and then it’s able to take over the screen and do what you want it to do.

[00:05:33] Oh, another tool, ManyChat. I’ve made a ManyChat automation where Claude essentially gives me, like, this perfect prompt for ManyChat to create workflows. So if you don’t know what ManyChat is, it’s kind of like, “Hey, comment a keyword, and I’m gonna send you this or that.” That is a very time-consuming funnel to build out that a lot of people don’t even mess with because it’s, like, overwhelming.

[00:05:54] Like, you’ve gotta have it make a comment, and then it’s gotta send a link, and then you’re supposed to, like, send a follow-up. But now, if you use Claude inside of your browser, you could say, “Just set up a ManyChat automation for me.” Or there’s so many free, like, famous ManyChat automations that you can just Google, like, Marie Forleo uses this ManyChat automation.

[00:06:14] You can grab it off, you know, a free website, put it into Claude extension, pop it in, and say, “Set this up on ManyChat for me.” So these are the things I’m geeking out about. Like, you guys don’t even know. I wake up at, like, 6:00 in the morning and grab my computer ’cause I’m so excited about it. So anyway, that’s what’s been going on.

[00:06:33] Members, you’re gonna get a ton of content. It’s probably gonna be overwhelming, but my advice is gonna be just pick one of these, even if you’re just listening. Higgs Field or ManyChat or Canva, and connect it to Claude Cowork, just one of them, and you’re gonna see, like, the power of being able to do that.

[00:06:51] And of course, members, you’re gonna get prompts for each one on how to do it completely all the way through. So it got me thinking. All right, I’m figuring out how to have Claude basically run my Instagram. So of course, I started a new Instagram, and it’s ai.fortherapists on Instagram. I’ll put the link down below.

[00:07:09] Please go follow me. That would be amazing. But you can see all the content there that I’m creating. So I’m making carousels. Like, I just told it yesterday, I was like, “Okay, I need, like, four carousels this week. I want to put four carousels…” It already knows my, my audience. It already knows the pain points that you listeners are having with AI.

[00:07:29] It knows my brand colors because it’s all already in Canva. I mean, it just literally knows everything about me. So it went and made me four carousels. I’m talking like eight slides per carousel, created like a graphic designer based on a template that I showed it in Canva that it likes.

[00:07:48] There’s, there’s actually three templates. So if you go to my AI, my um, Instagram, you’re gonna see that it’s rotating through these templates already, and you’ll see more coming. But a cool part of it, and I’m just gonna share this, as part of like Instagram engagement or any engagement really on any platform, the platforms want you like socially interacting with other people in the community, and that takes time, right?

[00:08:13] So the social media company I hired, that’s part of what they do. They, every day, 15 minutes in the morning, 15 minutes in the evening, they go around and they look at these different accounts. They know me. They know what I would say. They’ve got my brand voice in their own AI, that sort of thing, and they’ll go around, and this is probably unpopular, and some of you listening might be like, “Well, that’s inauthentic.

[00:08:32] It’s bullshit.” It’s how you scale. So it’s just me being honest, that this is how you scale with this kind of stuff. You have people help you with it. They go to these accounts that are similar to mine, probably like, you know, therapist accounts that are also influencers or trying to create content, maybe using AI or therapists that might be in love with the digital nomad life, that kind of thing.

[00:08:54] They go and they keep like a database of these accounts. They go into each one. They look for a most recent reel. They do a thoughtful comment, something they think I would say. They run it by me. I’m like, “These all sound great. Thank you.” Or I might tweak something and say, “No, I’d probably say this.” They’re learning my voice.

[00:09:13] They do this for me. It’s just part of how it goes. So anyway, with the new IG account, one, I don’t wanna pay the social media company twice to do two pieces of content for me or two channels for me. So I’m like, how can I replicate that process? ‘Cause LinkedIn wants it. TikTok wants it. Everywhere wants you, like, interacting and engaging with other people’s content.

[00:09:36] So I’m like, I’m gonna figure out how to do this. So what I did Thera AI Hub members are gonna love this. I went out and did deep research, like June 2026, what is the gold standard for interacting on social media platforms, specifically Instagram in my case, ’cause that’s like my core platform where I’m trying to grow more people.

[00:09:58] And then how do I… Like, what is, what is the recommended algorithm for interacting with other accounts, that kind of thing. So I did this in Manus, because Manus is great with this type of research. Manus went out, basically came back and said, “Okay, you need, like, these core big accounts”, you know, people with-that have got, like, you know, over 50,000 followers.

[00:10:20] You need mid-level, low-level, that sort of thing, accounts that you’re commenting on their most recent post, that sort of thing. And you wanna make sure it’s a recent one, meaning like within the last, like, 24 to 48 hours, and that it’s a thoughtful comment, that it’s helpful, or just something that’s gonna provoke interest from people that are reading it.

[00:10:42] Because the whole goal is to have them basically like what you said and then wanna know more about you without you promoting yourself, right? So you don’t wanna go and you know, be like, “Hey, oh, by the way, follow me.” You don’t do that, right? ‘Cause it’s just, the people that spent time on their own reels and their account, they don’t want you doing it.

[00:11:00] they want you to contribute to their accounts. They think it’s helpful if people are giving comments to them ’cause it, it helps the algorithm for them.

[00:11:07] So that, that’s basically what you’re supposed to do. Go over and find all these people. But social media companies, right, they track, they track. I commented here, I commented there. I need to go back and follow over here. Like, it’s a very sophisticated system when you really get into it, and a lot of people don’t realize, like, you know, there’s this whole other part of social media that you should be doing.

[00:11:28] So anyway, I got the deep research back. It’s a lot more detailed than that. It’s like, “Make sure you comment this way. Make sure if you post, you’re commenting within 15 minutes of what you posted on…” It’s like a whole thing that is just really overwhelming, frankly. So anyway, I did all this research. I got it back in.

[00:11:45] I kinda, like, made the research more curtailed towards therapists and the type of content they would be posting, that sort of thing. In Manus, I said, ” All right. I want to be able to create a skill that I can give to an AI agent that can interact with my Instagram and do these comments for me based on my brand voice.

[00:12:05] I need you to help me set this up, and it’s not only for me. I want it to do for my members in the Thera AI Hub.” So Manus was like, “That’s a great idea. Oh my gosh.” So, and you know, they’re always so… The AIs are so enthusiastic about your ideas. Every idea is a great idea, but I actually think this is a great idea.

[00:12:21] So it created the skill with me. It asked me some questions like, “Do you want it to do this? Do you want it to do that?” That sort of thing. So it created the skill. I wrapped it up. I’m like, “This is perfect.” And made it into a skill, downloaded it, and I basically took it over to Claude CoWork into this, like, huge chat thread that I’ve been doing for, I don’t know, weeks now, this deep dive of, like, trying to automate social media, and really I’m doing it because I wanna be able to help my members be able to do it too Popped the skill in there, and I was like, “Okay, here’s what I wanna do.”

[00:12:52] So Claude was like, “Oh my gosh,” thought about it for a little bit and was like, “This is a great strategy,” that sort of thing. So I said, “Okay, now I want you to take this and run with it.” So what did Claude CoWork do? It read my skill. It went to Instagram using the vidIQ plugin. So it can’t do it unless you have this vidIQ plugin, and this is something I pay for.

[00:13:12] Um, It also helps me with, like, my YouTube and strategy. It basically analyzes anybody’s YouTube, Instagram, TikTok lots of different social media platforms. It goes in and, like, gives you analytics. It’s like a plugin for these. So anyway, my vidIQ is plugged into my

[00:13:27] Claude. So it took my vidIQ extension, the connector that it’s connected to, went out to Instagram, and basically for about 30 minutes researched all of Instagram with the hashtags that I’m using for AI looked for content, looked for follower counts, that sort of thing. It came back, and it created a spreadsheet for me.

[00:13:47] It was like, “These are essentially your top 50 targets for Instagram based on this criteria that you gave me.” So it j- it generated all of this based on the skill that I gave it. And Thera AI Hub members, you’re gonna get the same skill. It’s already actually in the skill directory that we have inside of the membership.

[00:14:05] So if you’re listening and you’re a member, it’s there already. It’s, like, late June right now, and I’m of course gonna give you more of a training in our two masterminds in July. But anyway, it’s there for you. So it took, the database, and then I said, “Okay, now what is the criterion?” It’s basically like we’re gonna do this three times a day.

[00:14:26] And we’re gonna hit large, medium, small accounts and do, like, all this criteria that the research showed that we should be doing. So it made a report of like, “Let’s do a trial run.” So it did the first three, and it was like, “Okay, here’s your first three accounts, and here’s…” And it went back out. So this is live.

[00:14:43] This is happening live. This isn’t just, like, a database I’m working from. Went back out and it said, “Okay, this account, this account, and this account posted three posts to… within the last, like, you know, hour or something.” I don’t remember what the criteria was it did it. Maybe it was, like, a day. And came back and said, “Here’s the comment you should make on each one of these posts.”

[00:15:03] And I was like, “Oh my God, this is one, perfect,” because Claude already… it, like, has my brand, like, in its brain, right? So it pulled that out, just the AI part of it, pulled it out and said, “This is, like, the way Kim talks. This is what, you know, she would wanna say conversationally,” that sort of thing. So it sounded just like me.

[00:15:24] Kind of funny, a little witty, I would say. I don’t know if you guys think that about me. Thoughtful, helpful, that kind of thing. So that’s sort of, like, my brand and my personality. Pulled them out and said, okay, it gave, it gave the account name, it gave the link to the post, it gave the blurb of what I should say, and it gave me three of them.

[00:15:43] And then this is where I hit a little bit of a roadblock. I was like, all right, perfect, these sound just like me. Go post them for me. And this is in CoWork, which is the one that lives on your desktop, and it said, “Kim, I’ve run into a snag. Instagram is blocking me on your browser. I can’t get in there to post them because there’s no MCP connection.”

[00:16:00] I was like, okay. So I was like, how can… And, and Claude’s like, “It’d be super easy for you to just follow this link, go in and post it.” And I was like, that is not good enough. Like, I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna spend my time doing that. So what I did is I went to my browser with the Claude extension that lives up in your browser, which is different than the Claude desktop that has the CoWork.

[00:16:24] Copied what it gave me, put it over there, and, like, opened my Instagram, opened the Claude extension assistant, dropped in the, the, what, exactly what it told me to do, the account, the link to the post, and what it was supposed to say, with instructions, put it in there, and it went and posted it for me. Like, I watched this one, of course, but I’ve done many since then, and it, it just does it automatically.

[00:16:48] You don’t even have to look at it. You don’t have to check it or anything ’cause you already know what it’s gonna say, and it goes and does it for you. That… I mean, it takes about 30 minutes for it to go do it for you but it did. So it, it’s totally done. It’s commenting, it’s engaging, and I can already see engagement coming back to me.

[00:17:03] So I’m s- I’m getting like notifications from my Instagram, right? So and so liked your post. So and so commented on your post. The creator liked your post and commented, that sort of thing. And then I’m seeing follower counts go up over on my new Instagram account, the AI Dot for Therapist account. So that’s just like one part of this puzzle, and of course, again, members, I’m making this for you, for you to be able to pull each of these pieces out and do it how you wanna do it.

[00:17:32] But there’s a system, right? There’s a whole system if you really wanted to dive into it. And I’m trying to think which one made the, carousels. I’ll be posting the four carousels that were created for me. I’m gonna be posting those a little bit later today. Now, one problem I am running into is I’m having to manually post some of these because inherently Instagram does not allow you to put any post to a trending audio.

[00:17:57] So that’s another piece of like social media engagement and that sort of thing. You want to attach trending audio if you can. It’s not 100% necessary, especially if your content is like really good or controversial or contrarian, that sort of thing, or just really like in your face kind of content. You don’t necessarily need the trending audio as much as like an account like mine, which is kind of more educational.

[00:18:21] I like to connect the trending audio because the algorithm gives it a little bit of boost, but you don’t have to do that. So there are posts if you go to that account that you’ll see that Basically, Claude pulled the picture, pulled the hook based on this criteria I gave it. And again, Thera AI members, you have a skill that creates this, like, contrarian content for you already inside of the directory.

[00:18:42] And it, pulls all that, and it… I’ve been using Blotado. Y’all might have heard me talk about that, like, a week or so ago. Blotado schedules it for you, so if you wanna use that and you’re not worried about the trending audio piece of it, you can literally tell Claude, “Create it. Use these skills to create the content, pick the picture, create the picture,” that sort of thing.

[00:19:03] Go schedule it on Blotado, and Blotado puts it out, like, on a weekly schedule. So literally the whole thing can be totally automated if you’re not worried about the trending audio. The trending audio is the only piece that’s really causing me to have to do this manually, and that’s why I’m doing it manually.

[00:19:18] You don’t have to, which is pretty amazing to me. So anyway, I could go on and on. I’m gonna come in here and just talk about more of the specifics like Higgsfield, how I’m using it with Claude. I’ve already talked about Blotado a little bit, but maybe a little bit more specifically.

[00:19:31] HeyGen, which generates a talking head video. You’ll see that over on that Instagram account if you go look. Canva, of course. I wanna get a little more specific about the Canva. And Open Art, how it’s going to Open Art.

[00:19:44] It’s creating content inside of Open Art for me, which is basically like This is crazy. I mean, I could just go on and on, but Claude took… Like, I have a folder on my computer of all my, like, port- like, videos or not, not videos, like, pictures I take of myself, right? I uploaded, like, hundreds of pictures ’cause I’m always, like, snapping a picture in a different place or doing something.

[00:20:05] Took that folder on my computer and turned it into what they call a contact sheet. So it took a sampling of all of the different pictures on there, and then went to Open Art and created, like, like a template of me, like a composite of my face, my hair, all of that. And now that it’s got the template, I didn’t, I didn’t make the template ’cause I actually tried to do one myself and it looked totally crazy, but Claude did it and it looked perfect.

[00:20:31] Not perfect. I mean, you could tell it’s definitely not me, but it looks close enough to me that I can use it, like, in carousel pictures and that sort of thing. Created a template in Open Art, and now anytime we wanna do a carousel or I’m like, “Well, yeah, but I really need a picture of me, like, at a desk doing this for this particular carousel that we’re working on,” it just takes that template of me and puts it in new pictures, and I’m not interacting with it at all.

[00:20:54] It’s all based on prompting from Claude. So anyway, I wanna go down the rabbit hole with all of that so I can give you more information about it, but that’s the gist of what I’ve been doing and geeking out about. And members, I can’t wait to give it to you in July. So that’s it for today. Let me know if you have any questions.

[00:21:10] Reach out. If you’re not a member, come join me in the Thera AI Hub or the Clinical AI Club, depending on your personality, or the Club Hub Bundle, which is the best value. You get a little bit of the skills I’m creating and also, like, the walkthroughs of how to do this stuff on your own if you really wanna do it on your own.

[00:21:29] Okay, talk to you later. Bye-bye.
